3。5 Not a typical Alex Cross book。 There are 4 different cases going on, imo too much! I have been an Alex Cross fan since the beginning, this one just wasn’t as good。 Still love that most of the stories take place in Metro Washington, DC。 Having lived there it’s fun to actually know where the characters are。

I think it's time to let Alex Cross retire and live happily ever after。 This one was all over the place and not very engaging。 I think it's time to let Alex Cross retire and live happily ever after。 This one was all over the place and not very engaging。 。。。more

Normal fare for an Alex Cross fan。 Keep 'em coming, James! It was a little convoluted with 4? story plots going on。 But it was also handled about as well as 4 plots could be handled。 Kept me interested and moving along。 I love the little touches that flesh out the characters。 Normal fare for an Alex Cross fan。 Keep 'em coming, James! So the book is a typical Alex Cross James Patterson book but I must admit I'm completely perplexed at the title。 。。?? So the book is a typical Alex Cross James Patterson book but I must admit I'm completely perplexed at the title。 。。?? 。。。more

Alex Cross Must DieNot sure the title goes with the story or should I say stories。 They all get wrapped up as only Patterson can do。 We are out here waiting for you Alex。

Patty M。 Jones

Too many plots going on。 I never did figure how the title fit。

This is an exciting book that involves four different cases。 Alex and John Sampson are working a case of someone shooting men early in the morning as they are often out jogging。 Then they are called into a case of terrorism as a plane is shot down at Reagan Airport。 Bree Stone, wife of Alex Cross。 Is involved in a missing person case。 The head of a company is missing and Bree is working the case。 Then Bree is enlisted by her step daughter to help her friend who is being blackmailed over a sex vi This is an exciting book that involves four different cases。 Alex and John Sampson are working a case of someone shooting men early in the morning as they are often out jogging。 Then they are called into a case of terrorism as a plane is shot down at Reagan Airport。 Bree Stone, wife of Alex Cross。 Is involved in a missing person case。 The head of a company is missing and Bree is working the case。 Then Bree is enlisted by her step daughter to help her friend who is being blackmailed over a sex video。 The girl then turns up murdered。The book alternates between all these cases to keep the reader engaged and on their toes。 A fast paced and intense read。 。。。more

Reading 2023Book 238: Alex Cross Must Die by James PattersonNo year would be complete without the November installment of the Alex Cross series。 This is book #32。 Synopsis: Detectives Cross and Sampson are tracking a serial killer who's fatally ambushing young men in the “Dead Hours” murders。 They don't hear the machine gun fire。 At first。“Drop whatever you're doing, Dr。 Cross, and head to Reagan Airport,” DC Metro Police dispatch says。 “A plane just crashed and exploded on the runway。 The chief Reading 2023Book 238: Alex Cross Must Die by James PattersonNo year would be complete without the November installment of the Alex Cross series。 This is book #32。 Synopsis: Detectives Cross and Sampson are tracking a serial killer who's fatally ambushing young men in the “Dead Hours” murders。 They don't hear the machine gun fire。 At first。“Drop whatever you're doing, Dr。 Cross, and head to Reagan Airport,” DC Metro Police dispatch says。 “A plane just crashed and exploded on the runway。 The chief and the FBI want you and John Sampson there pronto。”The weapon that took down the plane is a remote-controlled Vietnam-War-era machine gun。 The list of those who possess the training and expertise to operate the stolen, 。50-caliber weapon is short。 And time runs even shorter。Review: Yes! A good addition to the series。 I enjoyed this thriller and look forward to next year。 My rating 4⭐️。 。。。more

Cross and Sampson are working on the Dead Hours Killings, a string of men who all have had their eyes shot out before dawn, when they heard a dull thud。 A plane from Reagan had just gone down, and there are early reports of the plane being taken down by machine gun fire。 They work both cases in a mad rush to find justice for the victims and prevent more deaths。

Least favorite of the Alex Cross series This book did not move along at the pace of the preceding books in the series。 Too many subplots。 For me it was a choppy read, jumping from one plot line to another。 The title had nothing to do with the story。 It disappointed me。

Wayne Bilow

Alex Cross is at his best once again。 Even his son Ali gets into a little trouble with dad。 There are 3 stories in this novel with a very good plot and surprisingly great ending。

Francy

Why must Cross die? I must have missed that part of the book。。。。。。。。。

Alex Cross and John Sampson do it again。 Through several different plot lines this book absorbs you into the story。 Bri acting as a private investigator solves a murder of two women, while Cross and Sampson with the backing of the FBI solve two mass murders。 The action never ends and the excitement continues until the end。 I would recommend this book and look forward to reading more books with these characters。

Another good Cross story。 It's going to take a lot for an exceptional new book after all the great efforts in this series which keeps on giving。 Another good Cross story。 It's going to take a lot for an exceptional new book after all the great efforts in this series which keeps on giving。 。。。more

Alex Cross, John Samson and Bree Stone work on five complicated cases that kept me turning pages far into the night。 Alex Cross stories never fail to entertain 。

I enjoyed the book but was definitely misled by the title。

Action and a little confusionAs with all Patterson's Alex Cross books, this story moves rapidly。 There is not just one perpetrator, not just two, but 3 with parallel investigations。 It's a bit confusing, and I kept waiting for these cases to intersect at some point。 I will let you discover that answer for yourself。 The action is fast, even made my old heart beat a little faster。 The layers, from the heartbreak that nearly jumps off the page when one of young Jannie's friends is found murdered to Action and a little confusionAs with all Patterson's Alex Cross books, this story moves rapidly。 There is not just one perpetrator, not just two, but 3 with parallel investigations。 It's a bit confusing, and I kept waiting for these cases to intersect at some point。 I will let you discover that answer for yourself。 The action is fast, even made my old heart beat a little faster。 The layers, from the heartbreak that nearly jumps off the page when one of young Jannie's friends is found murdered to the international anger that crossed an ocean, are complex, reflecting life as we see and hear on our favorite media provider every day。 I could almost hear the sound of the Stinger missile as it streaked through the snow curtain。 Outstanding mystery/thriller。 。。。more

Another good Alex Cross book。 Can’t wait for the next one。 This one was filled with four different crimes, so there was a lot of action。

Alex and Bree are working cases。 Nana-mama is cooking up a storm and has a new gig on the internet telling teens about books。 Bree is ask by her daughter to talk to a girl on campus who is being blackmailed about a sex tape。 Alex is investigating a bomber who brought a jet full of people down。 Also the murders of men found in parks and school playgrounds by a serial killer。 Good story。

I was very disappointed by this book。 I am a big fan of Alex Cross and have read all of his books。 While some books in the series are better than others this was the worst。 Actually it more a Bree and Sampson book。 We don't see enough of Alex to get a picture of his personality and his best abilities。 I also found the jumping around from one story to another very disconcerting。 The title is also misleading as there is nothing about the need for Alex to die。 I was very disappointed by this book。 I am a big fan of Alex Cross and have read all of his books。 While some books in the series are better than others this was the worst。 Actually it more a Bree and Sampson book。 We don't see enough of Alex to get a picture of his personality and his best abilities。 I also found the jumping around from one story to another very disconcerting。 The title is also misleading as there is nothing about the need for Alex to die。 。。。more
